North Kansas City Schools sets high expectations for students and gives them numerous avenues to achieve. North Kansas City Schools is known for outstanding teachers, top-notch technology, A+ high schools, K-12 school to career programs and, of course, a rigorous and challenging curriculum.
We are the only school system in the region to offer the Distinguished Achievement Program. We recognize student effort in grades 6 through 12 with awards for distinction and with honors diplomas at graduation. Students may earn the Gold Medallion Honors Diploma or the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
We are one of only 10 schools in Missouri and only 718 high schools in the United States offering the highly acclaimed International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Worldwide there are more than 2,185 high schools in 139 countries offering the Diploma Programme.
Our goal is to prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the experiences of life and to be life-long learners.
