AchievementPlus
This outstanding preschool for children turning four on or before July 31 provides opportunities for exploration, discovery, creativity, problem-solving and social interaction. Each class has up to 15 students with a certified teacher and an instructional assistant. Most buildings have at least two classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The program provides large group, small group and individual activities. This federally funded program is offered free of charge to those eligible. Bus transportation is provided for those who live on district bus routes.

Schools offering AchievementPlus Preschool — Chouteau, Crestview, Davidson, Gracemor, Linden West, Maplewood, Oakwood Manor, Topping, West Englewood and Winnwood.
(The preschools for Crestview and Oakwood Manor are held at other elementary school sites and transportation is provided for those students. Crestview students will attend at West Englewood. Oakwood Manor students will attend preschool at Davidson.)

Children attend 5 half-day sessions, Monday through Friday.
- Qualifications — Children who live in one of the above-listed school attendance areas, and who will be four years old by July 31, may be eligible for the Early Childhood Preschool.
