MSBA announced earlier that 170 districts of Missouri's 561 districts were eligible to compete in the first five of six categories.
Those first five categories included Budget and Facilities, Governance, High Quality Staff, Parent and Community Engagement, and Student Achievement. The sixth category of School Turnaround had separate criteria to be met for qualification.
CFO Paul Harrell, member Dixie Youngers, Treasurer Terry Ward and Asst. Supt. Dan Clemens, Administrative Services, accepted the award at the MSBA awards ceremony. Ward and Youngers had presented earlier to the MSBA panel of judges.
