Early Childhood Special Education
EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION
The mission of the Early Childhood Special Education program is to enhance optimal functioning and improve the quality of life for each child from 3 through 5 years of age by providing a full continuum of comprehensive integrated services that match the child's/family's needs.
Located at 6800 Sobbie Road in Pleasant Valley, Missouri, Early Childhood Education Center offers a variety of services and programs to families in the nearly 82 square-mile area of the district. This program offers specialized educational programming for children who qualify.
Services range from specialized instruction, speech/language therapy, physical therapy and/or occupational therapy and services. A wide continuum of service delivery models also are available to children who qualify: services can be delivered in a special education preschool setting, a community preschool setting or by appointment at our center.
The Early Childhood Special Education program’s curriculum is based a variety of resources designed to address the specific strengths and concerns for each child’s development.
