Employee Recognition Program

CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE - EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION PROGRAM

Culture of Excellence is the district's employee recognition program, providing a formal process to celebrate model employees. The program is designed to complement the ongoing recognition already underway in individual schools or departments.

Changes for the 2013 Program

  • In past years the program has been called Traditions of Excellence. To reflect the district’s new strategic plan and the emphasis on instilling a culture of excellence in everything we do, the employee recognition program will now be called the Culture of Excellence Employee Recognition Program.

  • Service nominations must now include a form from a direct supervisor. In previous years three nomination forms had to be submitted for each nominee from fellow co-workers. An additional requirement that an Service nominee's direct supervisor complete a nomination form ensures that administration knows when an employee is being recommended for recognition.

  • The Culture of Excellence Council will take on the responsibility of judging the nomination packets submitted for employees. This is a change from an external panel of judges reviewing the nominations.

The Culture of Excellence program coincides with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Education program. District Honor Cadre members have nominations submitted to the Chamber for consideration in Chamber program, which recognizes teachers and support staff from across the Northland.
