Teaching grants funded by the Education Foundation help students apply creative and critical thinking skills. These grants allow students to participate in innovative activities such as collecting and reporting weather data, operating their own advertising agency, and using GPS devices to learn longitude and latitude. Extraordinary educational experiences like these stimulate an enthusiasm for learning.
The Education Foundation also provides college scholarships for seniors who are graduating from North Kansas City Schools, as well as dependents of district employees. For more information about these scholarships, contact your school guidance counselor or Jan Lewis, Education Foundation director, at email@example.com or (816) 413-5004.
