Welcome to Northtown, Home of the Hornets!


North Kansas City High School has been designated by The Washington Post as one of the nations most challenging high schools, ranking in the top 10% for the 6th year in a row.  It's a great time to be a hornet!

The One Act Plays are September 30-October 1 at 7:00 PM in the auditorium. Tickets are $5 to see all 6 student directed shows! 

2015 Homecoming Queen Candidates- The winner will be announced at halftime at the Homecoming Football Game on October 9th

(Brook DeWitt, Andrea Gordon, Autumn McNeal, Allison Davidson, Shelby Jordan, Kennedy Ruckh, Maddie Warman, Haley DeVries). 

Homecoming is Friday, October 9th! Come celebrate 90 years with us! 

 North Kansas City High School Homecoming festivities will kick off at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, with the annual Homecoming assembly where Hall of Fame inductees and Queen candidates will be introduced. At 2 p.m., be sure to come out to the streets of Northtown to watch the Homecoming parade. The football game will start at 7 p.m. We hope to see many alumni there to support the Hornets as they take on the Oak Park Northmen. Go Hornets!
