School Improvement Plan
The School Improvement Plan (SIP) is the work of a dedicated group of faculty and staff at Staley High School. The Community Council (Building Leadership Team) leads their departments in this process. This document reflects the daily work of educators as they make strides to improve the quality of teaching and learning at Staley High School. By the end of the 2014-2015 school year, we are confident that increased numbers of students in all sub-groups will achieve proficiency and advanced in state assessments. All students will be college and/or career ready. All students will be attending school at least 90% of the time, and all students graduate with their cohort. This document provides Staley High School a roadmap on how to achieve these results. Having the self-determination to do one’s best and maximizing the opportunity to be successful is infectious. According to education writer, Mike Schmoker, the school improvement process must have three components. The Staley High School SIP echoes those components and constitute the foundation for positive improvement results: meaningful teamwork; clear, measurable objectives; and the regular collection and analysis of performance data.
