Senior Beau Baker Scored His 1,000th Point in Epic Basketball Game Friday


Click Here for the entire N2 Sports broadcast from last Friday's epic game against Oak Park.  The Falcons won the nightcap coming back from a 17 point deficet to win 60-58.  The Lady Falcons won earlier beating Oak Park 51-32.  Congratulations to Senior, Beau Baker for scoring his 1,000th point.  He is only the second player in Staley history to accomplish this feat.  Trevor Lamb reached this milestone last year.

Staley Girls Swim & Dive Team Conference Champions

Staley Science Olympiad Team Qualifies for State Championship


Staley Science Olympiad Team has once again advanced to the Missouri State Science Olympiad Championships.  The Kansas City Star covered the Regional Science Olympiad event this past Saturday at Penn Valley Community College.  Click Here to read more.  Staley will join Pembroke Hill, Plattsburg, and Platte County High Schools at Westminster College in Fulton April 9 for the state championship.  Congratulations to the team, Coach Spiegel and Coach Nevels.            

Staley DECA Update

Staley DECA Strong Showing at District...7 Qualifying for State 


Staley High School sent twenty-three students to the DECA District Competition this past Friday.  Currently, seven students have qualified for state.  Faculty Advisor, Kelly Rule, is hoping for more.  Here are your state qualifiers:

  • Luke Dunn-Business Finance-1st

Staley Teacher, Lesley Martin Honored

Staley Teacher Named 2016 NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Educator Award 

Lesley Martin has been awarded the 2016 NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Educator Award.  The Educator Award is conferred upon educators who demonstrate a commitment to encouraging young women’s aspirations in computing.  Mrs. Martin will be honored at a recognition on Friday, February 5 at Garmin International.  Mrs. Martin has been teaching Computer Science in a high school setting for 14 years in the North Kansas City School District. She is currently teaching at Staley High School. Click Here for more information.

The First Lady Honors the 2016 School Counselors of the Year 

As part of her Reach Higher initiative, First Lady Michelle Obama hosted the 2nd Annual School Counselors of the Year in the East Room of the White House. Staley Diamonds Take 2nd Place in Mid Continent Color Guard Association Festival

Congratulations to the members of the Winterguard as they shone bright like Diamonds at this past Saturday’s competition.  The winter guard placed second in their class and represented Staley in strong fashion.  The Diamonds next compete in February at Nixa High School.  Click Here for recaps and links to photos from this past Saturday's performance at Park Hill High School.  Click Here for the last minute of their 2nd place finish.

 Staley Emeralds "Left it on the Floor" Saturday...Outstanding Performance

  • 2nd in pom
  • 2nd in jazz (dance)
  • 2nd out of all schools at the competition who brought two routines 
  • A Judge's Precision Award 
  • Tony Iiams- 2nd place solo
  • Mallory Darr- 10th place solo
  • Brooke and Tony Iiams- 3rd place duo
The team will now prepare for state to be held next month at Kemper Arena.

The Vicki Barmann Memorial SOAR Scholarship Announced

Vicki Barmann taught for forty-eight years. Her greatest love and passion was teaching French in North Kansas City Schools. She was an enthusiastic, caring, passionate teacher of thousands of students. She loved developing relationships with students, engaging them in rigorous work, traveling with them in the US and France, and challenging them to do and to be their best. Her dream was to inspire students in ways that would assist them in becoming accomplished in their personal, professional and spiritual lives.  The content of her classes was French; the lessons were about life. Her legacy lives on here at Staley High School through the Vicki Barmann Memorial SOAR Scholarship.  Click Here for more information.

Staley Legacy Yearbook Earns 1st Class National Ranking

Congratulations to Legacy yearbook staff for earning a First Class national ranking with two marks of distinction in Design and Concept/Essentials on the 2015 “We Are” book.
