Staley Soccer Team Captures 2nd Straight District Title
Congratulations to the Staley High School Boys Soccer team for their 2-0 win over Oak Park to secure their second consecutive Class 4 / District 16 tournament Championship Wednesday evening at Park Hill South. Staley, 17-5-1, will host the Sectional Game against Park Hill South on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The game will be played at the NKCSD-DAC Soccer Complex located next to Staley High School. Game time is 6:00 pm, Gates will open at 4:45 pm. Admission is $6.00, no passes accepted. To view the entire MSHSAA Soccer Championship Bracket, Click Here.
Football Game Tonight
Staley will host the MSHSAA Class 5 / District 8 semi-final game with Liberty North tonight, Oct. 31, 2014. Kick-off will be at 7:05 to accommodate a broadcast by Niles media on KSMO. Click Here for a Niles Media exclusive.
Admission is $5.00 for ages 6 & up. No passes will be accepted. Reminder: no face coverings of any kind are allowed at school activities or events.
Staley Band Selected to Play at Union Station Centennial Celebration
The Staley Band will be providing pre-ceremony entertainment, in conjunction with our musical counterparts from Oak Park, at the Union Station CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon and Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, other dignitaries and honored guests will be in attendance. The winter sports season will officially begin on Monday, November 3 for basketball and wrestling. Girls Swim will officially begin on Monday, November 10. Student athletes must have a physical dated after February 1, 2014 in order to participate. For a copy of the physical form, go to the Staley High School website. Please contact the head coach of the sport for specific practice times.
Cross Country District Information Click Here. Staley boys and girls compete Saturday, November 1 in the 2014 MSHAA Class four Sectionals at Jesse James Park. The girls run at 9:00 A.M. and the boys run at 10:00 A.M.
2014 MSHSAA Football Class five State Tournament Bracket Released. Click Here. Staley defeated Oak Park 42-7 in MSHSAA Class 5/District eight Quarterfinal football game Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 at the NKCSD-DAC. The Falcons advance to the District Semi-final game against Liberty North on Friday October 31, 2014, 7:00 P.M. at the NKCSD-DAC.

Newsweek (Daily Beast) used six indicators to compare public high schools in the United States. Graduation and college acceptance rates were weighed most heavily. Other criteria included: college-level courses and exams, percentage of students with free or reduced lunch, as well as SAT and ACT scores - another mark of how well a school prepares students for college. Annual Veterans Day Assembly Announced
Staley will honor local Veterans with an assembly on Tuesday, November 11 at 10:15 A.M. All local Veterans are invited to attend. Please call Staley High School at 816-413-4100 to RSVP. Congratulations to Staley students for securing a role in the musical, "Guys and Dolls," scheduled November 20, 21, and 22. All shows will begin at 7:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center.
