The WHS Pride Band is having a spaghetti fundraiser dinner on Saturday, November 22, 2014, from 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm. The dinner will be held in the WHS cafeteria. It’s All You Can Eat for $6. Buy tickets from a band member or at the door. So, come on out and support the band, then go enjoy the Winnetonka Theatre Department’s musical – “Side Show” beginning at 7:00 pm (tickets sold separately for the musical).
Late bus service will not be available on November 24 or 25, 2014. After school assistance will be offered as usual.

Congratulations Competitive Drama & Debate
Congratulations to those students who competed at the Raymore-Peculiar speech & debate tournament this past weekend! Hevonte Robinson won 5th place in Prose Reading. Great job done by all competitors this past weekend!
Congratulations Cross Country
Congratulations to senior Sabrina Monsees who signed a National Letter of Intent to Compete in Track/XC for the University of Tulsa next year. Sabrina becomes the 5th Division I female track athlete in our schools history and joins Rebecca Kuklinski (Missouri State); Nicole Manning (Western Illinois); Molly Scott (Drake University) and Kelsey Dietrich (Missouri) to compete at the highest collegiate level. Also, congratulations to sophomore Emma Evans who earned first team all-state honors this past weekend at the MSHSAA Cross Country championships. Emma is currently ranked among the Top 250 sophomore distance runners in the United States and was also was a first team all state runner her freshman year. Sabrina’s 800 meter time in track is the fastest in the NKCSD history among all schools and she is one of the fastest 800 meter runners to ever come out of Kansas City. Emma has the fastest 5K time in NKCSD history for females and still has two years of competition remaining. Both student athletes represent Winnetonka with tremendous pride.

Missouri All-State Choir
Paden Osburn, an alto, has sung her way to All-State as a member of the 2015 Missouri All-State Choir. This is the second time she has been slected for this prestigious choir. She was selected from more than 100 students who auditioned. Congratulations!
