Football Conference Champs
With their 45-27 victory over Belton last Friday, Winnetonka football clinched its first conference championship since 2008 and their second in 30 years. The Griffins finished the conference season with a record of 4-1. It was the 7th football conference championship in school history. The post-season playoffs begin this week where the Griffins have earned the second seed in their district and a first round BYE. On October 31 they will play the winner of the Truman/North Kansas City first round matchup.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Attention Mac Users
Apple had an announcement today at noon of its latest releases. As they do often, these are kept very secret until the day of the event. Following today’s event, the latest operating system has now been released and is free in the App Store. As a district, we are asking you to please NOT upgrade your operating system. Testing of all systems and applications are underway, however, we need to complete these processes now that the operating system is official. We will communicate as the progress changes, however, we need all staff to hold at this time.

Art Students Travel
37 art students went to Missouri Western State University for a high school art competition/exhibition and also got to create art in different workshops. Winnetonka took home 11 awards for Artistic Excellence. See media photos for more.
Varsity Cheer Squad
On, Sunday, October 5, 2015, Winnetonka was proudly represented by 15 fabulous young ladies at the MCCA Missouri State Competition. The group of ladies competed in a brand new division this year as they went from a COED Team to Small All Girl Team. The ladies represented Winnetonka proudly and brought home 3rd place. See Photo
