Middle School students have opportunities to expand their school day experience in multiple ways. Extended Day Program activities called EDP are served up quarterly, with a fresh list of activities for which students may sign up. The after-school time may also be used for homework help on site from certified teachers.
There is a cost for EDP, but bus transportation is provided to take students home on dismissal once after-school activities are finished.
EDP is a great opportunity for students to increase learning as well as enjoy the collaboration of others with similar interests.
Middle School also brings team sports for girls and boys in the seventh and eighth grades. Cross country running, track and field, basketball and volleyball are all available in season. Students may also join band or orchestra, choir and drama, and may take roles in student leadership and National Junior Honor Society.
In addition, PTSAs create events throughout the year both at school and away from school that encourage student involvement.
For questions about your school's offerings, contact the school principal or athletic director.
