If your student will be absent or late for any reason, you must call the Attendance Line at 321-5022.  Please feel free to leave a message at any hour if no one is available to answer the phone.  This is especially important in the cold months so we can verify the absent or late student is not still waiting or stranded at a bus stop in extremely cold conditions.

We now have a Facebook page!  Don't forget to search "Bell Prairie Elementary School" and like us for all the latest on what's happening at Bell Prairie!

Please remember that any prescription medication at school requires the proper paperwork to be filled out. Please contact Nurse Lyndsay for this paperwork.

Additionally, please remember that we will continue to hold recess as often as possible.  If the windchill is below 25 degrees, teachers can elect to modify outdoor recess or hold indoor recess.  Please be sure your child comes to school each day prepared for outdoor recess with a winter coat, hat and gloves.  If it snows, we will go outside once the blacktop has been cleared of snow and ice.

Welcome to Bell Prairie Elementary, Home of the Mustangs!

Bell Prairie stands behind Nathan as he continues his fight against cancer.

We are so happy to hear that his surgery was successful.

Check out this awesome video!

If you have a child that will be attending kindergarten at Bell Prairie, please contact Brenda McKenzie at 816.321.5020.  Kindergarten enrollment packets are ready to be picked up.  If your 2017-2018 kindergarten student has a sibling at Bell Prairie, a packet will go home with their sibling.

Check out the Bell Prairie Facebook page for a list of category winners!

Starting this week, your child will be bringing home a Jump Rope for Heart fundraising envelope.  This fundraiser is for the American Heart Association which we have been a part of since the opening of Bell Prairie 8 years ago.  This fundraiser is a no pressure type of fundraiser.  We are simply trying to help out a great organization.  Prizes will be given out depending on how much your child raises and all information will be on the envelope your child will be bringing home this week.  All money will be due on Friday, April 14th, but can be brought to Coach Coy anytime before that date.  Please direct any questions to Coach Coy at 321.4403.  Prizes will be given out approximately 2-3 weeks after all money has been received.

Check out the Mustang Minutes for the winners of the Casey's Fundraising!

Check out our new Student Ambassadors!  They will help transition all of our newest Bell Prairie students when they arrive!

Big Smiles will once again be visiting Bell Prairie!  If you would like for your child to participate, simply fill out the form that was sent home on Friday and have your child return it to the office.  If your child previously received services from Big Smiles, they will be seen for their 6 month check up.  Check out the flyer for additional information of visit

On Sunday, February 5th, several Mustangs joined 3rd grade teacher Mr. Vaughan to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House.  Students and their families had the opportunity to see how the pop tab drive impacts families who need a place to stay while their child is recovering in nearby hospitals.  After the tour, the group was able to sanitize the play rooms and work on various projects.  We are so proud of our Mustangs!
