PARENTS AS TEACHERS PRESENT "ROCKIN ROB" - MAY 9, 2013
Come and join us for a great evening with Rockin' Rob, Thursday, May 9, from 6:30-7:15 p.m. at Clardy Elementary! (See Flier!)

As a parent, you are your child's first and most important teacher. Your child will learn more during the early years than at any other time in life. How your child grows and learns during these years -- beginning at birth -- will affect his or her later development and success in school.

Parents participating in Parents as Teachers (PAT) gain knowledge in language development, intellectual growth, motor skills, and the parent-child relationship.

When enrolled in North Kansas City Parents as Teachers, families with children birth to kindergarten will receive FREE:

  • Certified parent educator home visits
  • Health screening
  • Developmental screening
  • Monthly Parent-Child Activity

Screening opportunities are available for those children from three months to kindergarten.

Visit the Success By Six Resource Center -- a center where families, teachers or anyone who works with young children can check out toys, books and educational materials for children ages birth to six years of age. Beginning Sept. 17, the Center will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Center is located in the Parents As Teachers office at Northgate Middle School, 2117 NE 48th Street.

Enroll in Parent as Teachers by calling (816) 413-5460 or register to have a parent educator contact you about enrollment in the PAT program.
