The district mission statement is “North Kansas City Schools will establish successful learning experiences for all and create responsible citizens capable of lifelong accomplishments.” This is well served through cutting edge technology, well-trained staff, integrated curriculum and a technology plan that incorporates both internal and external constituents from concept to implementation.
In 1999, North Kansas City School’s technology implementation was recognized by the National School Boards Association at their annual T&L conference as one of three Technology Salute Districts in the nation. The district was again recognized at the 2009 CoSN conference with their TEAM award. They were also one of three districts in the nation asked to host an NSBA technology site visit in the spring 2009. This was the first district in the state of Missouri to host a technology site visit.
