District bus routes are posted for students during the August back-to- school registration period. When changes in bus routes are made, riders and their families are notified by mail. For questions regarding bus routes — pick-up times and drop-off times — contact the district Transportation Department at (816) 413-5200. Dispatchers will be able to assist parents and guardians with any questions they may have.
For questions regarding school policy about bus riding, contact your school administrator. Find transportation forms at the bottom of this page.
INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE
Transportation utilizes Alternate Bus Stops during times of inclement weather. Parents of students at these bus stops are notified well in advance of the potential for their bus stop to change when weather is bad. Alternate Bus Stops are updated weekly and sometimes daily during periods of snow and ice. Alternate Bus Stops - Level 2 are used only when the location of N. E. Russell Road at N. Holmes Street is impassable for buses. Parents of those students affected by Level 2 have been notified by letter of their appropriate alternate stop if Level 2 is activated.
ATTENDANCE AREAS & MAPS
Boundary questions also may be answered by dispatchers in the Transportation Department. Direct your questions regarding school attendance areas to (816) 413-5200. With an address, dispatchers are able to tell you the elementary, middle and high school that your child would attend. Descriptions of the elementary, middle and high school attendance areas may be found under Attendance Areas on the Parents tab.
For an overview of the district and its 21 elementary, 5 middle and 4 high schools, view the district locations map (attached below).
