This accelerated course has a more in-depth approach than Biology I. The course also includes a study of the cell, heredity, molecular genetics, biotechnology, DNA synthesis, protein synthesis, mitosis, meiosis, photosynthesis, respiration, evolution, and ecology. Laboratories, experimental design, lecture/discussions, and cooperative learning strategies will all be utilized. This course will have an industry emphasis dependent upon the student’s pathway selection.
