Mindfulness unlocks the door to live a flourishing life. Jon Kabat-Zin said, "Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmental.”
Meditation is the tool that provides a way to be mindful throughout the day. There are a variety of activities you can do to bring your awareness to the present moment: walking, eating, breathing, drawing, knitting, and the list goes on. During the meditation activity, notice where the mind wants to wonder to naturally. Notice the thought, let it go, and begin the activity again.
Bring Mindfulness Into Your Life
Wherever you are on this journey of meditation, maintaining a regular meditation practice is key. This allows the brain to unplug from the distractions around you and notice what the body is trying to communicate.
