    About NJHS:

There are five areas of excellence demonstrated by all NJHS members – Scholarship. Service. Leadership. Character. Citizenship.    Membership into National Junior Honor Society  (NJHS) recognizes students for their academic accomplishments, but also challenges them to be actively engaged in other school activities as well as complete community service and to become a more well-rounded young adult.

    Antioch Requirements for NJHS:

    • 3.7 cumulative GPA or higher
    • completion of 15 hours of community service for the 8th grade year
    • demonstrate positive character and citizenship (no office referrals or behavioral concerns)

    Benefits of NJHS:

Our chapter gives us the opportunity to strengthen our reputation in the community. Honor Society students become outstanding ambassadors for Antioch by undertaking meaningful community service projects. Based on reporting by affiliated schools, in recent years Honor Society chapters individually have contributed on average 1,161 hours to school and community service; $26,000 in charitable donations; and 1,100 pounds of food to local, state, and national causes. Service projects often become life-changing experiences for members who discover new passions and callings.
