Free Developmental Screenings for all children ages 3 months - 5 years; living within NKC Schools Boundaries
Developmental screenings provide information on your child's growth and development. Areas of development screened include motor, language, cognitive, social-emotional, and self-help as well as health, hearing, vision, and dental checks.
The list below is provided for informational purposes only. Use of this list does not constitute a referral.

Children under 3 years of age with or without developmental concerns
Children 3 years of age or older with developmental concerns
Children over the age of 4 and interested in the free preschool programs
If your child is under the age of 3and you would like a developmental screening to learn more about their development or because you have developmental concerns contact Parents as Teachers.
If your child is over the age of 3 and you have developmental concerns, the Early Education Center provides a free developmental screening. Through this screening, you will receive additional information on your child's development as well as connections to resources that can support you and your child.

NKC Schools offers free half-day and full-day preschool to children the year prior to kindergarten.
Eligibility requirements:
Birth dates between 08/01/18 and 07/31/19
Completed developmental screening
Families must meet Free & Reduced Meal guidelines (see below) for the Free Full day program
