Instrumental Music Summer Learning Opportunities

Join Ms. Schuck at Antioch Middle School on June 3rd-6th for a Summer Band!  Transportation is provided for Antioch & New Mark students!  You can also eat breakfast and lunch during camp.  We will be working on skills, prepare a Thursday concert, explore different styles of music, start on All-District Band music and HAVE FUN!  This week is FREE for NKC students!  Sign up:  https://forms.office.com/r/s1gG1t7KcL.

WHO: ANY NKCSD student, age 12 and up
WHAT: Exploratory opportunity to learn about and perform world percussion instruments
WHEN:  June 13 & 14, 10a-2p / FREE CONCERT Friday 1:30p
WHERE: STALEY HIGH SCHOOL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC ROOM (FP 144) / Concert in Great Hall/outdoor patio
HOW:  $30 Camp Fee (provides use of instruments/equipment, t-shirt and daily snack)
             Fee may be paid via Check payable to 'Staley Band' or Cash (NKC Webstore, MyPaymentsPlus pending)

TWO Week -  summer strings camp    JUNE 3-6 & 10-13

This is a 2-week summer strings camp hosted at Eastgate 6th Grade Center for 6th and 7th grade students.  Transportation is available for students from Eastgate 6th Grade Center, Maple Park and Northgate Middle Schools. Students will not be able to attend Summer School if you attend this camp.

FOUR WEEK - Summer school Orchestra

Please complete this enrollment form by May 1 to reserve space.  
June 3rd - June 6th (Monday - Thursday) 7:15 AM – 1:15 PM
June 10th - June 13th (Monday - Thursday) 7:15 AM – 1:15 PM
June 17th, 18th, 20th (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) 7:15 AM – 1:15 PM
June 24th - June 27th (Monday - Thursday) 7:15 AM – 1:15 PM
 
Location: Antioch Middle School

Summer Orchestra is open to any North Kansas City School District orchestra student who has completed the 6th grade. Any 6th-8th grade Orchestra student may enroll for summer Orchestra. No academic credit is awarded.

The Transportation Department for students who attend new mark and antioch will route each student and provide confirmation in late May.
