Instrumental Music Summer Learning Opportunities

2024 DRUMMING iNKC (world percussion camp)

WHO: ANY NKCSD student, age 12 and up
WHAT: Exploratory opportunity to learn about and perform world percussion instruments
WHEN:  June 12 & 13, 10a-2p / FREE CONCERT Friday 1:30p
WHERE: STALEY HIGH SCHOOL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC ROOM (FP 144) / Concert in Great Hall/outdoor patio
HOW:  $40 Camp Fee (provides use of instruments/equipment, t-shirt and daily snack)
             Fee may be paid via Check payable to 'Staley Band' or Cash (NKC Webstore, MyPaymentsPlus pending)

Summer Orchestra @ New Mark

June 3rd - June 6th (Tues - Fri) 7:15 AM – 1:15 PM
June 9th - June 12th (Mon - Thurs) 7:15 AM – 1:15 PM
June 16th -June 20th* (No School on Thurs) 7:15 AM–1:15 PM
June 23rd - June 26th (Mon - Thurs) 7:15 AM – 1:15 PM
*Juneteenth will be celebrated on Thursday, June 19th. It is a federal and state holiday.*There will be an AMI or Virtual Day on June 20th. 

Summer Orchestra is open to any North Kansas City School District orchestra student who has completed the 6th grade. Any 6th-8th grade Orchestra student may enroll for summer Orchestra. No academic credit is awarded.

The Transportation Department for students who attend new mark and antioch will route each student and provide confirmation in late May.
