School for Adult English Language Learners

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR the 2025-2026 school year

We offer free classes for English Language Learners to improve communication, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary through the four core skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening.

• DAYS: Classes are held twice a week, Monday through Thursday. You may choose a Monday/Wednesday class OR a Tuesday/Thursday class.
• TIMES: Morning classes are from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Night classes are from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
• REGISTRATION IS CLOSED for our current school year. Applications for the new school year will be available on this page beginning July 1, 2026. Orientations are 1/2 day and will be held in August 2026. Classes will begin September 8th or 9th. Be aware there is usually a waiting list for all orientations. SNOW DAY POLICY:  If North Kansas City Schools are closed due to bad weather, classes will be cancelled.
