We offer free classes for English Language Learners to improve communication, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary through the four core skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening.

• DAYS: Classes are held twice a week, Monday through Thursday. You may choose a Monday/Wednesday class or a Tuesday/Thursday class.
• TIMES: Morning classes are from 9:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m. Night classes are from 5:30 p.m.—8:30 p.m. (Times subject to change)
• REGISTRATION: Applications are available on this page beginning July 1, 2026. We will close the applications when we are full. Orientations are 1/2 day and will be held in August 2026. Classes will begin August 31st or September 1st by invitation only. Be aware there is usually a waiting list for all orientations. Please call 816-321-5011 if you have questions.

SNOW DAY POLICY:  If North Kansas City Schools are closed due to bad weather, classes will be cancelled.
