Volunteer & Tutor

The North Kansas City Schools Adult Education Center is frequently looking for volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering or tutoring, please email Laurel Clark at Laurel.Clark@nkcschools.org or call our office at 816-321-5011 to request a volunteer application. Volunteers can choose morning or night positions, with various days of the week to choose from. You can volunteer for one class or more than one. 

Volunteering Opportunities

• Classroom assistance
• One-on-one tutoring 
• Small group tutoring
• Resume assistance
• Applying for employment assistance
• Special events (Graduation, celebrations, etc.)
• Office assistance
• Speciality skills
• Donating supplies

Class Times:

Mornings: 9:30am until 12:00pm; Nights: 6:00pm until 8:30pm
