Children in the North Kansas City School District enrolled in kindergarten through 5th grade are eligible for school year care.

During the summer, children who have completed kindergarten through 7th grade are eligible for summer care. 

Yes- During the school year each student is eligible for a 5 day sick credit after 5 absences. After attendance has been verified, a credit will be applied to your account. Sick days are non transferable between students. It is the account holders responsibility to report the students absences. Site Managers are not able to reflect any credits, so please contact the office at 816-321-5017 or at sacc@nkcschools.org

During the summer, students may receive a weeks worth of credit. Full time students must miss 5 consecutive days (days in a row) to receive a 5 day credit based off summer school days and full days of care. Summer School Days only students in June must miss Monday-Friday and will receive a 4 day credit Part time July and August students must miss Monday-Friday and will receive a 3 day credit, not including holidays. Reporting summer vacation credits is done so by scanning the QR code found on site or by clickable form sent through the summer information link emailed to families enrolled for summer.

Yes, Adventure Club offers a waitlist at each elementary school except Topping.

There are a limited amount of seats on each schools waitlist and if not at capacity we are happy to add you by calling 816-321-5017

Waitlist information is kept separate by program (school year or summer) and will not transfer from program to program. You will remain on the waitlist until the end of the program; for example if you were on the 2024 summer waitlist you did not transfer to the 2024-2025 school year waitlist.

There is no fee to be added to the waitlist.

No, you will not receive a bill in the mail- Account balances may be viewed at any time in the parent portal by clicking here 

Payments are due on the first day of each month, late if paid after midnight on the 15th of the month. If paid after the 15th, a $30 late fee will be charged to your account and child care is terminated. Re-enrollment is based on space availability and the past due month’s tuition must be paid in full.

Payments can be made by credit/debit card or e-check over the phone or online through the parent portal. We also accept online bank checks, money orders and cashier’s checks. No cash or American Express is accepted for payment. All payments are processed through the Adventure Club office. Payments are not accepted at the sites. There is a processing fee for paying online with a debit/credit card or e-check. This fee will be applied to your total and you will receive a separate receipt for this fee. The fee for a debit/credit card transaction is 2.75% and e-checks are $1.00 per transaction and is non-refundable. Payments may mailed to Adventure Club, 2000 NE 46th, Kansas City, MO 64116 to avoid a processing fee.

Parents can receive a 5% or 10% discount for paying in advance, please see the tuition and fees for due dates and amounts. 

We offer a 10% discount for additional children which is automatically applied to your account.

At this time, we are unable to accept any additional free or reduced meal discount applications, as we have reached our funding limit for this program.

Families who qualify for tuition assistance through the Division of Family Services may still apply for assistance under that program.

Yes- Adventure Club accepts assignment of benefits if you qualify for child care assistance through the Family Services Division.

Adventure Club is open on some, but not all, non-school days. The program’s operating schedule can be found on-line at the district’s website at www.nkcschools.org/adventureclub.

Our hours of operation are 6:45am-6:00pm at the combined sites.

We be closed for care on the following professional development days: September 19, 2025, October 6, 2025, April 17,2026

Yes-If your student is enrolled in AM only or PM only they are able to attend at no additional cost for half days and full days of care. Please inform your site staff if your student will be in attendance on any half or full day. 

All students enrolled in Adventure Club school year care are eligible to attend on inclement weather days. These nonpredictable full days of care are not included into the monthly tuition and are an additional charge of $15.00 per student per day located at our combining sites. All students will need a lunch and a drink. Care is offered from 7:15am-6:00pm on inclement weather days.

We are open for care on most but not all professional development days. We are closed on September 19, 2025, October 6, 2025, April 17, 2026. 

Professional development days that we are open are not an additional charge and factored into your monthly tuition.

Professional development care hours are 6:45am-6:00pm at our combining sites (available each year late September/early October) All students must have a lunch and drink.

A $1.00 per minute late fee will be charged to your account if picking up after 6:00pm

 Excessive late pick ups may result in termination of care. 

Yes. If school is released early due to inclement weather, students will remain at their school and your child will need to be picked up by 6:00 p.m. Students enrolled in the AM only session may attend on the afternoon on these special days at no additional charge.

If school is canceled, Adventure Club will follow the inclement weather combining site locations (available by late September/early October) 

Our operating hours on these days will be 7:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If your child attends on these days, there will be a $15.00 per child charge for each day used. Children will need to bring a lunch and drink on inclement weather days. 

Snow day charges differ from school year tuition as well as any make up days if the school year is extended

Adventure Club closes promptly at 6:00 pm on regular school days and inclement weather days.

Adults who are late picking up a child will be charged $1.00 per minute late fee after 6:00pm

Time is based off the Adventure Club iPad.

 Excessive late pick-ups may result in termination of care.

Parent Handbook

A camera is located at the Adventure Club door.

Please follow these directions to use the camera system:

1. Push the button, and staff will acknowledge you. 

2. Please have photo ID ready to present to camera. 

3. Once ID has been confirmed by staff or the staff is familiar with the adult picking up, access will be granted and the door will open. 

Please do not allow others to enter with you, unless the staff has acknowledged and granted them access as well. 

Yes. It is the responsibility of the parents to sign their child in and out every day.

Children MAY NOT sign themselves in and out. This is an important procedure put in place for the safety of the children.

Each adult on the pick up list must have their own PIN. See your site manager for instructions on how to set up/change PINs.

All people picking up must be at least 18 years of age and be on the pick-up list

Changes in a child’s enrollment status will take effect the first day of the month following any change in status. If a family needs to drop a session, add a session or drop care completely, the Primary Account Holder must call the Adventure Club office at 816-321-5017 prior to the first day of the month. Your Site Manager cannot make changes to your account. For billing purposes, change requests must be made before the first day of any given month. We do not make any changes or prorate tuition in the middle of the month. All enrollment changes to accounts must come from the primary account holder as they are one to set up the account/services.

Our office is open from 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. 

Enrollment for school year and summer programs are done through the parent portal.

You can change your address, phone numbers, email address, and work information.

You may also make a payment.

You can alter and change the pick up list and emergency contact list.

You can enroll for or update your autopay.

You can view/print statements, invoices and tax receipts.

You will set up PINs for each adult through the parent portal.

If you need to change any of the information below, please contact the Adventure Club office at 816-321-5017.

You cannot change your session (AM/PM or both)

You cannot change your school.

You cannot change the name of the primary or secondary account holder.

You cannot change your students grade level.

The first school year payment is always due by September 1, late on the September 15 at midnight 

Due to August having only a short amount of care, those days are included and lumped into the September tuition payment. Your tuition is paid into 9 equal payments(Aug/Sept-May) and accounts for full days, half days, days we are closed. 

Enrollment dates are posted to our website no later than March 1st of each year. This includes summer and school year registration.

Included with these dates will be the tuition and fees sheet for both programs, and the calendars for each program. 

Families with current enrollment and billing have a priority registration week which guarantees a seat before remaining seats are opened to the public. Once seats become public, it is first come first serve basis.  All enrollment information is emailed out to all currently enrolled accounts before being posted to our website no later than March 1 of each year for the open public. Please note that if you have dropped our services before priority registration begins, you will not be guaranteed a seat. 

If your student will be absent from Adventure Club please reach out to your Site Manager via email, phone call or text. To receive this safe and secure site cell phone number, you may either contact our office at 816-321-5017 or when you are dropping off/picking up you may stop for a business card with their contact information. You must also notify the front office at your students school.
