What Does CATALYST Offer?

Catalyst students are provided the best ACT preparation available. Scores typically increase at least 3-4 points on average. 

Catalyst students have many opportunities to visit with colleges. Students visit with top-tier schools when they come to Kansas City and get to learn which school might fit their interest. Students are invited to participate in a summer college experience where they visit top-tier colleges and universities across the country.  They get to spend time on campus and learn first hand about campus life, tour the college dorms, and interact with students at each campus. 

Catalyst student receive group cohort support and personalized advising throughout the college application process. Students have access to experts that guide and direct them through all aspects of the college application including essay writing, college list formation, and resume building. 

Catalyst students continue to receive wrap around support even when they head off to college. Catalyst provides individual support as students navigate their first semester of college. In addition, Catalyst hosts alumni reunions to help inform underclassmen of the Catalyst Scholars experiences at college. Catalyst scholars also helps students secure summer internships and jobs. Catalyst cohorts remain bonded and often return to help Catalyst underclassman.
