Community Relations

For over 100 years, North Kansas City Schools has served as a vital part of the communities it serves. From neighborhood schools to business partners, from Adult Education classes to the award-winning YouthFriends mentoring program, the district is firmly committed to sharing a responsibility with its community to do what’s best for all students. NKC Schools is an active participant in civic organizations such as the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce, Northland Neighborhoods, Inc., the Gladstone Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Clay County Economic Development Council among others. The district partners with social service organizations such as the Assistance League of KC, Miles of Smiles, Synergy Services, Tri-County Mental Health and many others to provide our students and their families with resources needed to ensure academic and social success.
