Informacast Lockdown App
NKC Schools is implementing a new tool in fall 2024 to add an additional layer of security at all buildings. The Informacast Lockdown App will enable any staff member to initiate a lockdown or request assistance from anywhere on school property quickly and efficiently. The app will eliminate the need to use a radio or phone, which may not always be immediately accessible. This allows for faster response times in critical situations.
The app will also alert staff members when a lockdown is initiated at their site, through either a text message, email or a push notification. Traveling staff will have access to and receive notifications from all sites they serve.
