It was a beautiful day for a picnic!

Life Unlimited sponsored a picnic at Macken Park on Friday, March 15th for our high school students. Pure joy was seen on the students' faces at the petting zoo, playground and picnic tables!

Recognizing Outstanding Achievement

A group of 5th grade students are newly published authors.

"Inspired by a social skills lesson one day, we decided to start a project. They wrote a book about the brain and how we regulate emotions. They decided their audience would be second graders. They collaborated with some of our third grade peers on what would be some good things to include in our book. Here are some pics from our publishing celebration. We kicked off our "book tour" in 2nd grade this week and they are reveling in the fact that other teachers and their principal have ordered their book. Watching these reluctant writers start to believe they could become published authors has been probably the most proud I've ever felt as a teacher."
