High School Alternative Program
The High School Alternative Program (HSAP) provides an alternative educational pathway for students. HSAP is a self-paced, accelerated program, designed to meet the individual needs of each student. Students in the program experience holistic support with real-world learning opportunities, resiliency services, and post-secondary planning.
Missouri OPtions
Missouri Options is a competency-based program that utilizes the HiSET exam as content mastery for graduation requirements. Students must be 17 years old and have completed personal finance, health, and government.
Graduation
Students who graduate from both programs earn a North Kansas City Schools high school diploma and are eligible to walk with the alternative program and apply to participate in their home school graduation ceremony. Referrals are made through the student's attendance area high school and students can apply. See the application process below.
