For summer school purposes, students are considered to be in the next grade level. For example, if your student completed second grade this school year, they would be considered a third grader for summer school.
It is important to note that if your child completes 5th grade, 6th grade, or 8th grade this spring, they will transition to the next grade level and their new building for summer programming.
Incoming kindergarten students are the exception, as they instead attend a specially-designed K2K program to prepare for school in the fall.
Our schools are currently planning K2K offerings for this summer. Stay tuned for more information from your student's future elementary school. You might wish to contact the school directly to ensure you receive all incoming kindergarten communications. Contact information is available here.
