About Dr. Daniels
As a former teacher, Dr. Daniels brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the superintendency. She has spent her life advocating for public schools and the vital role they play in communities. In fact, Dr. Daniels’ connection to NKC Schools reaches back for many years. Her mother taught at two elementary schools in the district and her father attended a district elementary school. When she was in first grade, she helped her mother stuff pamphlets in doors in hopes of passing a bond. Her family is full of educators who have a love for teaching. This fostered Dr. Daniels’ passion to serve students.
As Chief of Staff, Dr. Daniels served alongside our former superintendent, Dr. Dan Clemens, as he prepared for retirement to facilitate a smooth transition for the district throughout 2023. In her role as Assistant Superintendent of Organizational Development, Dr. Daniels oversaw leadership development and communications for the district. She has led multiple successful bond campaigns, managed an effort to redefine district boundaries creating straight feeder patterns for each high school, effectively implemented a succession planning process for the district and provides development opportunities to ensure employee growth. Dr. Daniels recently facilitated an extensive and all-inclusive effort to develop the district’s five-year Strategic Plan. Dr. Daniels began her teaching career at Oak Park High School after graduating with a degree in Social Studies and Spanish. She then went on to direct curriculum and professional development, K-12 and serve in a district leadership role before joining the Superintendent's Cabinet.
