    BSU; Black Student Union Amber Washington Varies - During MTSS and Afterschool The Black Student Union (BSU) of NKC High School is committed to intellectual, cultural, social and ethnic diversity. The BSU's focus is to build awareness, education, and a new level of consciousness about being an African American in today's society. We aim to teach others about diversity and show that through engaging activities focused around acceptance and tolerance, we will get a better understanding of others while learning about ourselves.

    DECA Zachary Johnson Will primarily be meeting during MTSS Co- curricular organization that prepares students for careers in marketing, entrepreneurship, hospitality and food management, and finance. Takes what we are learning in class and allows students to take the next step with it to network or compete.

    Diversity Council Unsell / Khalandi / Cuni Monthly (second Wednesday when scheduling allows) Diversity Council is dedicated to the mission to improve the culture and climate in North Kansas City High School, by celebrating diversity and educating our student body about the many cultures represented in our building.
    Dungeons & Dragons Club Aubrey Walker Once a month during MTSS & Limited after school meetings (Tuesdays 3:00-4:30) Adventurers wanted for a role playing game of magic, beasts, and exploration.
    Environmental /Recycling Club Chad Lower 9.14 in auditorium and 4.19 in auditorium Club focuses on environmental issues and how they can be applied to our school community. Also responsible for the collection of the school's recycling program
    Fashion Club Paola Mondello once during MTSS the last week of each month and once after school facilitate school events that are related to fashion and making
    FBLA Shannon Beane We will meet 1-2 times per month during MTSS. We will use this time to prepare for district competition in February at UMKC. This club helps prepare and challenge students for a future in business. Whether you are considering a career in business or just have a competitive streak, this is the club for you. FBLA will explore various aspects of business and help prepare students to compete at a district level
    FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Jeff Lacy Wednesday MTSS, every other week Chance for students (not just athletes) to come together and fellowship with each other.

    GSA; Genders & Sexualities Alliance Barbieri During the week during advisory; Likely Thursdays with after school meetings on Weds or Fridays. (TBA) A social club to support members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies, dedicated to community activism and involvement

    HOSA;Future Health Leaders National Honor Society Heather Shields meetings in B245; one meeting during MTSS on a Thurs (likely the 2nd Thurs of month) and one meeting after school likely on Wed towards the end of the month We are a group of medical minded students and aspiring medical professionals
    Model UN David Fulbright   Students will discuss, study, and model international diplomacy between nations.

    Northtown Disc Golf Club Sheree Yoder Once per month during MTSS (Friday), Tuesday afternoons after school - football field during MTSS, front of school after school. Students learn to play disc golf

    Science Olympiad Andrea Leonard Tuesday's and Thursday's from 2:45-3:45pm in B341. Starting in early October - through mid April. This is a MSHSAA activity that consists of 22 different events in which you can participate.

    The Writers Society Nam Vu MTSS monthly meetings in Main 123. After school meetings (3-4 or 4:30pm) once-twice a month in Main 123. A creative-writing-focused student-led organization that centers student voice, stylistic and artistic production, and seeks to equip students with the resources, camaraderie, and space to hone their artistic/creative craft

    Zero Hour Yoder Monthly -3rd Friday of each month during MTSS. Weekly - Friday mornings, 7-7:30am Students come together over a shared faith of Christianity. Students will encourage one another and work together to find ways to care for our Northtown community.
