7th Grade Practice Packet
Link to Packet

Greetings, future seventh grade families and students.  The 7th grade teams would like to congratulate you on your successful completion of 6th grade, and look forward to seeing you in August.  To help you keep your mind sharp, and ready to learn, we have put together a packet of work from your four core subjects.  This work is expected for all teachers in the hallway.  All teams are expecting the work.  Read the instructions carefully, and do your best to complete the work.

ELA – Read!  The Truman Award books are listed in the packet.  Get a head start.  There are also some reading selections with a few questions.

Mathematics – The math work is a review of the concepts you worked on in 6th grade, and this is simply a measure of where your skills are at in August.  It should be a bit of a challenge, but not out of your league.

Science – The following assignments will help you continue thinking like a scientist. Through this work, you will be making observations, communicating science through diagramming, and interpreting data.

Social studies—In this course, we will focus is the current day, and the world around us.  The tasks included in this packet include documenting different experiences tied to travel, current events, and every day experiences.

The packet is due the first full day of school.  The packet will be collected by one of your core team teachers, and shared with the rest of the team.  The packet is available on the school website.  If you have questions, you may email any of the following teachers for clarification regarding the work in that core area: -- ELA  -- Mathematics -- Science -- Social Studies

Please enjoy your summer, but spend an hour or say a week to complete the tasks that we set forth for you.  We look forward to a great year in the fall.  Please make the most of your summer, but never stop being curious.  Learn for the sake of learning.
