Varisty Swimmers and Divers Finish in 4th Place

Please congratulate our Varsity swimmers and divers for their performance at conference.  We finished in 4th place, ahead of Raytown South and Grandview, behind Kearney, Platte County, and Belton.
They girls swam very well and they all PR’d.  Here are some highlights:
All of our Varsity swimmers made it to finals (top 16) in one or more of their events.
Eden Viles won diving (1st) and this is her first year diving.  She is going to State and is currently ranked 8th!
Halle Clapham dropped 5 seconds on her prelims time, and another 3 seconds in finals to climb up into 9th place in the 200 IM (arguably one of the most difficult events.)
Kaitlyn Presko medaled in the 50 Freestyle (8th) and the 100 Butterfly (5th).  She also PR’d during the 200 Free Relay with a 50 spit of 27 seconds.  (That’s swimming one lap in 27 seconds.)
Our 200 Free Relay placed 3rd.  That race was full of drama and our girls were very excited when they found out that medaled.  The relay consisted of Makayla Cambiano, Carli Crum, Eden Viles, and Kaitlyn Presko.
Carli Crum also medaled in the 100 Freestyle (8th).
Anna Braman PR’d in the 500 Freestyle (10th) with a time of 7:04.  (That’s 10 laps in 7 minutes.)
Our girls did amazing and you should ask them to share about their success.  And thank you for supporting our swimmers and divers.

Faith Endsley is a recent 2018 graduate of Staley High School and her story is a miraculous tale of conquering extreme challenges and thriving against all odds.
