What is the ACT?

The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of four multiple-choice tests in English, Math, Reading, and Science, and one 40-minute Writing test.

All juniors in the State of Missouri will take the ACT on April 19, 2017.

The State Board of Education approved the administration of the ACT Plus writing to all grade 11 students in Missouri public and charter schools, beginning in 2014-2015, with the exception of students who are eligible for the Missouri Assessment Program-Alternative (MAP-A) and ELL students who have been in the United States for less than 1 year.

Statewide administration of the ACT Plus Writing will occur on a single date, at the same time and under standardized administration conditions, for all grade 11 students in Missouri.

2017 Resident Non-Public ACT Testing Form
Junior students interested in taking the April 19 ACT who reside within the attendance area of North Kansas City Schools but do not attend school in the district must complete the Resident Non-Public ACT Testing Form and bring it to the Doolin Center along with proof of residency.
