Right before winter break, Fuel up to play 60 was introduced to 3rd-5th graders. Students had the opportunity to log on using their new ipad and choose to either do a challenge or a mini lesson. Students can earn points, prizes, money for our school and help our school become a Touchdown school, where extra prizes and awards can be earned. Last year was a trial run for our school and students loved it. With their own ipad, access to Fuel Up just became easier. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check it out log onto FuelUpToPlay60 website. It is sponsored by the NFL and Midwest Dairy Council and promotes physical activity and nutrition. If you have any question on how to get logged in and earn prizes, check with our new student ambassadors: Jack May, Carter Kelly, Owen McKenna, Andrew Ashmore and Evan Thomas.
Mustang Running Club will start the week after spring break on Tuesday, March 27th and will run every Tuesday morning from 8:00am-8:50am through May 1st. This is for 3-5th grade only and forms will be coming home in the near future.
Last day to sign up is Monday, March 12th!

Please remember that we will continue to hold recess as often as possible. If the windchill is below 25 degrees, teachers can elect to modify outdoor recess or hold indoor recess. Please be sure your child comes to school each day prepared for outdoor recess with a winter coat, hat and gloves. If it snows, we will go outside once the blacktop has been cleared of snow and ice.

Mid-Continent Public Library offers students K-12 live homework help from tutor.com. It is FREE. Students just need to register and get a card. Tutor.com will connect students with live, expert tutors for one-to-one help with their homework assignments. They can use Tutor.com from their home computer or inside the library to complete assignments and improve grades.
Direct questions about the program to Mid Continent Public Library at firstname.lastname@example.org. Register to get a card at https://www.mymcpl.org/catalog/get-card. The link to get started is: https://www.mymcpl.org/homework.
If your student will be absent or late for any reason, you must call the Attendance Line at 321-5022. Please feel free to leave a message at any hour if no one is available to answer the phone. You may also email Callie Shelton and Brenda McKenzie, if this is more convenient.
This is especially important in the cold months so we can verify the absent or late student is not still waiting or stranded at a bus stop in extremely cold conditions.
