Library Media Centers
-
Library/Media Centers are integral to learning in every building within North Kansas City Schools. To encourage reading at home and to make the process easier for parents, NKC Schools has made its library catalog, called Destiny, available to district students and their families online. Students and parents can search our catalog. If students want to log in to search our databases, they are welcome to do so by using their lunch number as the username and either their computer password or their birthday for the password.
In addition to the databases, there are other amazing resources! We also partner with Mid-Continent Public Library to provide all students in our district a digital card. If you signed your student up for a card, they have access to online and audio books through LIBBY. They also have access to many other databases and tutor.com!BOARD OF EDUCATION POLICIES RELATED TO LIBRARY/MEDIA CENTERS:
- EGAAA - Reproduction of Copyrighted
- EHB - Technology Usage
- IIA - Instructional Materials
- IIAC - Instructional Media Centers/School Libraries
- KLB - Public Questions, Comments or Concerns Regarding District Instructional/Media/Library Materials
