Hello Panthers! Carnival is right around the corner on April 21st!! We are reaching out to our Northview network of parents and staff: if you know someone personally or have used a great “carnival” themed vendor or business in the past, please share the contact info to liesel.nvpta@yahoo.com. Examples would be balloon artists, jugglers, magicians, DJ, etc.
If you have a middle/high school student in need of volunteer hours, please send your info to liesel.nvpta@yahoo.com and we will get them signed up to help!
We will have 3 open PTA board positions available for the ’23-’24 school year: Secretary, Treasurer, and Financial Secretary! If you would like more information or to apply, please click the link below:

School KIDS Study
North Kansas City Schools is partnering with Children’s Mercy as they offer an optional program to students and staff. Their School KIDS (Knowledge of Infectious Diseases in Schools) study provides free testing for respiratory viruses such as cold and influenza for students and staff who would like to participate. Asymptomatic testing will occur on a regular schedule at school, making it a convenient option. Symptomatic take-home test kits can also be provided for those who feel sick.
Through this study, Children’s Mercy will learn more about respiratory virus infections and their spread. This study is optional and simply offered as a service to support student and staff health and well-being. Participants will be compensated for their time. Go to the link below for more information.

Recess
Students have outside recess unless the temperature gets below 25 degrees or it is raining/snowing. Please help your student remember to bring appropriate clothing (hats, gloves, and coats) for recess.
Lunch Visitor Sign Up
Sign up to visit your student at lunch. Guidelines are explained on the SignUpGenius. Grade levels are listed in order of lunch time.
Breakfast and Lunch
Both breakfast and lunch are no longer free of charge. If your child plans to eat a school lunch or breakfast, please visit MyPaymentsPlus to add money to his/her account. Free and Reduced forms are also available online for those families in need of assistance. Until approved, charges will continue to accrue.

2022 Reminders of Procedures:
Water Bottles: Students need to come to school with a water bottle every day.
Car Riders: Please enter the parking lot in a single file line to the right. Do not begin the double line until you turn left (going North) at the back of the parking lot. Once you get to the north curve you use a zipper fashion to create one line. Please refrain from parking and walking your child to the door in the morning. As we see families walking between cars it becomes a safety concern as cars are moving. Plan to either travel through the car rider line or walk your student from the crosswalk if your child is a walker. We appreciate your help with this!
