On Friday April 26, 2019, Winnetonka participated with 9 other Northland schools including Liberty, North Kansas City, Oak Park, Park Hill, and Staley in the 2019 Northland Job Olympics at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The Griffins competed in variety of events such as shredding, clothes hanging, laundry folding, stocking shelves, and sorting silverware. All participants were required to compete in the Professional Appearance and Interview category. The Griffins brought home a total of 20 medals. 7 gold, 8 silver, and 5 bronze. For the first time in the last 3 years Winnetonka fell short of the top honors and came in 2nd place overall behind North Kansas City High School, who received the traveling trophy plaque to display back at their home school. Oak Park finished 3rd. The Griffins will continue to work on their job skills and hope to regain the trophy next year for Job Olympics 2020!
