Substitute Services Transition

At the May 9 meeting, the Board of Education approved a contract with a new substitute provider, Penmac Staffing Services. Human Resources has been working closely with Penmac to iron out details of the transition from our current provider, Kelly Services, and to lay the groundwork for a successful launch. We believe that the experience, size, and smooth rollover of our current substitute pool is a key factor in the success of this process.

Penmac will be in our district on Monday, June 5 and Monday, June 12 to host enrollment meetings. Check out the flyer for more details and click here to schedule your appointment. Enrollment appointments are available between 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

District substitutes that apply with Penmac will enjoy the flexibility of creating their own schedule and setting individual preferences for specific grade levels, school buildings, and subject matter areas. Penmac offers annual training, ongoing professional development, and coaching from education experts. Substitutes will also receive affordable health care options from the first week of employment, 401k retirement option after a year, and participation in Penmac’s employee-ownership plan for long-term substitutes.
