Recess Weather Policy

Every effort will be made for Bell Prairie students to have outdoor recess, so please dress your child appropriately each day.

All students will go outside for recess unless the outdoor temperature falls below district standards (25°F wind chill), it is snowing/raining or if the temperature/heat index is above 95 degrees. Clouds, fog, or sprinkles are not considered rain. If the wind chill or heat index is inside of the acceptable range, a shortened recess or indoor recess will be allowed if weather conditions require this for student safety.
