Summer Learning
Summer Learning in North Kansas City Schools
-
North Kansas City Schools' comprehensive summer learning offerings provide a variety of opportunities for students at all grade levels. Programs are available to all district students at no cost. Some schools may host summer learning at combined sites due to planned construction or space limitations.
Students receiving special education services or participating in Extended School Year programs, as well as our English Language Learners students, receive specific information from their schools.
See the Frequently Asked Questions for more details about all programs.
Summer School Online Enrollment Directions
- Parents and guardians may enroll students for summer programming beginning Friday, March 10, 2023 through Friday, May 19, 2023.
- Summer School takes an "everybody rises" approach. For example, if your child completes 1st grade this spring, they will be considered a 2nd grade student for summer school.
- It is important to note that if your child completes 5th grade, 6th grade, or 8th grade this spring, they will transition to the next grade level and their new building for summer programming.
